Is A Man’s Home His Castle? Not in Indiana!
May 13, 2011 – 4:59 pmIndiana’s Supreme Court has ruled that citizens may not resist unlawful police entry into their homes. That’s right – the police can come through Hoosier front doors without any reason whatsoever, and to resist is now unlawful. This is un-American. I hope that all of you putative Mitch Daniels supporters are watching. If he fails to condemn this and to work actively to have the offending ‘justices’ run out of town at the next election, then he is tacitly consenting to the destruction of a right that has been repeatedly confirmed as ours since Magna Charta.
Of course, were I a Hoosier and were I on the jury of any man accused of resisting unlawful police entry into his home, he would walk. Period. I hope that I am not alone in thinking this way as darkness falls across a nation that no longer steers its’ course by the light of the lamp of liberty.
