Encouraging National Suicide

June 7, 2010 – 9:17 am

Palestinian apologists just don’t get it.  The Nation calls the Israeli blockade of Gaza “inexcusable”.  They bemoan the plight of the people in Gaza due to the Israeli opposition to the ruling Hamas terrorists.  Those people ELECTED the Hamas terrorists.  As the Obamessiah’s legions are fond of saying, elections have consequences.

Of course, to The Nation, supporters of Israel and evangelical Christians are uniformly “right wing”.

The Nation claims the media “twist and distort” the real situation in Palestinian/Israeli relations.  Of course The Nation also makes reference to “the Freedom Flotilla” and “the humanitarian” flotilla.  A flotilla who’s denizens attacked paint gun armed Israeli soldiers with Iron pipes and knives.  A flotilla populated with Al-Qaeda “commandos”.  A flotilla that refused inspection for weapons.

The Nation fails to mention the rocket attacks emanating from Gaza.  A Gaza demanded by Palestinians in exchange for “peace”, granted by Israel.  The “peace” turned out to be rocket and terrorist attacks from Gaza into Israel targeting innocent civilians.  Hamas is a terrorist organization who’s stated goals are the destruction of Israel and its people.

What is the real information about the incident and what’s the true state of affairs in Gaza?

Let’s hear from some of you Palestinian apologists.

  2. While I hardly consider Israel innocent in their dealings with the Palestinians, they do have a right to self-defense, and the Fatah and Hamas factions, who hate each other, do agree about one thing: Refusing to recognize Israel’s right to exist.
That said, it’s interesting to note that Stratfor.com, among others, has noticed the parallels with ‘Exodus,’ in 1948, when the Israelis provoked the British to over-react, creating an ‘atrocity,’ not for any military purpose, but to turn world opinion their way. Most people will have an opinion, and their knowledge of the facts will be superficial, at best. The management of the opinion war, as Gen. Giap and Ho Chi Minh showed us, means more than the tactical realities on the ground.
If there is a winning defense against this strategy, I don’t know what it is. There can be, at most, one winner in the Holy Land; there may be none, because both sides cannot get what they want.

  3. It sometimes galls me to defend Israel. I have nothing particularly against them however. The rancid collectivist media opposes them which alone compels me to support them. Frankly though, its not our business how they handle it. “Palestinian” is a formulaic construct of total invention whereas Jews are Jews.

We should keep our noses out of it and our money for either side. Israel can probably whip or destroy any country up to and including France.

Its undeniable that the Israelis HAVE given, compromised and otherwise knuckled under to terrorist regimes posing as “authorities” and “governments”. Those terrorists have given nothing except death, preferably civilian, in return.
