Shocking Agreement

December 11, 2009 – 8:28 pm
I nearly never agree with my favorite xenophobe paleo-reform-con Pat Buchanan.  He sure gets it right here.  It is only through ignorance (willful or lazy) that any person places confidence in government or its artificial creature entities to “fix things” or “run things” not specifically enumerated in the Constitution.  This artificial and dangerous belief, so glibly expressed by the President and his sycophants, that “only government can do it” is patently false.  From the unconstitutional welfare state to corporate welfare to legislating what type of light bulbs can be manufactured for sale.  The government fails.

Take back our government.  Confront every candidate and demand they pledge to support the enumerated powers act.  Demand they reduce government not expand it.  Confront every statist sheep you meet with the facts that they aren’t entitled to ANYTHING that imposes obligation by government coercion on others.

  3. I generally agree with Pat Buchanan, and do here also. Since we elect Congress, Congress taxes and regulates us, and thus we (the majority of voters in a majority of gerrymandered districts) do it to ourselves. classic log-rolling, as the other Buchanan, Nobel Laureate (when that meant something) James, put it in, “The Calculus of Consent.”
