Generational Crime

December 2, 2009 – 6:22 pm

Send this to EVERY young person (25 and under) you know.

I know many of you won’t care, don’t care or won’t (don’t want to) believe it.  You country’s government will bankrupt you.

How often (if ever) have YOUR parents lectured or harped on being responsible with money?  The dire consequences of irresponsible use of credit?  How you are supposed to work for what you get?  More than some of you care to hear I’m guessing.

Well you shouldn’t be angry at the message but angry at the hypocrisy of your parents’ and grandparents’ generations.  They voted for the people who are saddling you with an unconscionable burden of debt that will lead to your political and economic enslavement.

Read this (and weep?) and act.  Or blissfully enjoy the bubble of social comfort you can enjoy now but will have to pay for when you have kids.

  2. I expect the debt and the insincere promises to be repudiated, either through inflation or through outright default. There is no morel right for the living to burden the unborn with debt. (I make one exception – for wars of necessity that cannot be avoided with honor intact. Even then, those choosing to fight should sacrifice financially, as Americans did in WW II, and as we conspicuously are not now.)
Boomers are fooling themselves if they think that they can retire in security while their grandchildren live in tax slavery.
