Who could disagree and why?

May 14, 2009 – 8:24 am

Dr. Adams publicizes a new group at Michigan State University, “Conservative Faculty and Staff at MSU” (cfsatmsu@gmail.com).  The core beliefs of this group are simple.

Who will disagree with this?  If you do, tell us why please.  Our additional questions on each are italicized

1. We believe that God, not the state, is the Author of our freedom.

If you disagree with who is the author of our liberties, to whom or what do you assign this to?

2. We believe that individuals, not groups, have rights.

Why would anyone think that artificial arbitrary groupings have rights superior or different to individual rights?

3. We believe that the right to life enables all other rights.

This, from a logical standpoint is unassailable, without life there are no rights to exercise. How do you deny the right to life?

4. We believe that freedom requires rights of ownership and use of property.

If one’s possessions aren’t sacrosanct what can be?

Do tell us, agree or disagree, what you think.  We DARE YOU to participate.

  1. One Response to “Who could disagree and why?”

  2. Most public universities are rackets. They charge too much, educate too little, and keep young people in extended adolescence, all the while promoting whack agendas disguised as academics – “Queer Studies” and the like. Add the sports racket (see Tom Wolfe – “I Am Charlotte Simmons” on this), and you have public institutions that could arguably be charged under RICO. (Bad law, but a nice idea, nonetheless…)
