Beyond the obvious “why does anyone support him?”, rhetorical frustrated question our President provides clear proofs of his nature.  Thomas Sowell found Burkean warnings about such as Barack Obama.  Our friend Mut has noted his hubris and arrogance.

Important facets about his background must be noted such as; “”we may place our confidence in the virtue of those who have never been tried.” (Burke), as nearly 54% of Americans did in November.   There is no doubt he is a very canny politician.  There is also very little doubt about his ignorance about economics and history.  It is a fact that he has never managed, directed or run any kind of significant organization.

While I don’t believe the danger to yet be catastrophic I am warned by Burke’s; “the true danger is, when liberty is nibbled away, for expedients and by parts.”  The over-riding truths are contained in Ron Paul’s “revolution“, the Federal behemoth must be constrained by its actually constitutional powers and specifically enumerated responsibilities.  Something even the Tea Party movement isn’t hitting hard enough upon is the blatant unconstitutional actions routinely taken by all branches of government, at all levels.  Individual liberty is more important than undefined “common good”, or worse “common good” defined by addicts of power and influence as politicians are.
