American Rebellion Movement: 5 Fine Examples

May 5, 2009 – 12:53 pm

Dear Friends: I see that many of my Americans are not content to be played by the political class and the elite media any longer. The Tea Party movement is evolving, and California is on the front lines on the battle for fiscal responsibility and sensible tax policy. It will be an epic struggle to make “personal responsibility”, “civic duty”, and “free market enterprise” the “IN” thing again. But I am happy to find many like-minded people getting involved, and helping each other, to achieve some sensible governance based on American founding principles.

Here are some links that highlight projects I have been working on:

* Rebellion 1 = No on 1A: The San Diego News Network asked me to prepare an opinion piece, arguing against Propositon 1A. To read this piece, go HERE.

* Rebellion 2 = Tea Party Movement Doesn’t Need Obama: I argue to the supposed “National Tea Party Leadership” that no member of the Tea Party movement needs to meet with the current President, as he is a man-child whose insults should be ignored. Instead, we need to focus our efforts on the adults that may be able to elect representatives with backbone.

*Rebellion 3 = Response to Obama’s Unconstitutional Thuggary: I have been following this story closely, as I despise Obama demonization of corporations, their executives, and the investor class and want no part of toxic class warfare. In a nutshell, it seems Obama is threatening Chrysler senior creditors with public attacks if they didn’t surrender their contractual rights during Obama’s attempt to essentially hand-over the company to the UAW. One of their sources says that the Obama team comprises some of the worst “ends justify the means” people he’s ever encountered (I am shocked! Shocked, I tell you!). The sweetest part of the whole story is that the senior creditors are battling Obama back with the 5th Amendment to the Constitution.

UPDATE: Patriots are being asked to call or write in support of Thomas Lauria, the whistleblower who outed Obama’s thuggary. Mr. Tom Lauria’s website is: www.whitecase.com, Thomas Lauria is the Global Practice Head of the Financial Restructuring and Insolvency Group at White & Case, which is comprised of over 130 lawyers located in over 20 countries around the world. Mr. Lauria has led White & Case teams in efforts to restructure more than US$100 billion of debt in some of the largest and most complex restructurings in history. He regularly represents debtors, unsecured creditors committees, bondholders committees, strategic and financial investors, sovereigns and foreign representatives in a wide variety of industry and market sectors.

His direct office line: 212-819-2637. A Tea Party organizer spoke with his assistant today and she said she would pass along the message. He really needs our encouragement right now.

In light of the fact that a bankruptcy court has revealed the list of senior creditors objecting to the deal the Obama administration attempted to cram down their throats through threats of public attacks, it is essential to call in support NOW! Next, Obama administration will send the pitchforks and bus tours.

* Rebellion 4 = Cleaning up the California GOP. Michelle Malkin has a compelling read about the state of my state’s party. It is sad, but if we can “clean house” here, there may be good hope for other states. Our local GOP chairman Tony Kravaric (who attempted to claim credit for the Tea Parties my grassroots group organized) is about to undergo a “No Confidence” vote. Stay tuned.

* Rebellion 5 = I disagree with Rush Limbaugh. I am all about looking forward, with a glance back just long enough to figure out what went wrong so I can avoid repeating the same mistakes. I agree with the wise Anchoress on this point: [Analyzing Jeb Bush's statement that too many Conservatives were looking for Reagan during the election cycle]…To that Limbaugh scoffed “who was looking for Reagan in the last election, where was this so-called nostalgia?” I beg to disagree with Limbaugh. If you look at comments threads at various center-right blogs and forums from a year or so again, (I wish I’d saved some of my emails) you will see many commenters asking, “where is Reagan? Where is our Reagan?” In fact, I believe I posted on this, and suggested that the GOP was so busy longing for RWR that it was not focusing enough on the candidates at hand, for not focusing at all. The full post, which is an extremely worthwhile read, is HERE.

  2. Too bad Michael Corleone didn’t hold Chrysler bonds. I’d love to see Rattner threaten him! (It takes a thug to deal with a thug, and Mr. Corleone had more class than this pack of Chi-town street hustlers.)
