The Optional Flat Tax

Arlen Specter has introduced a flat tax bill.
The Republican Alternative Budget includes and optional flat tax. This is a GREAT IDEA.
You wouldn’t know it from some screaming at the dailycuss and the bluffington post though. They hate the idea of you having a choice between the confiscatory and complex, energy draining, aggravating current tax code and a simple postcard style flat tax.
10% on your first 100K (with the first 39K exempt) and 25% on everything over 100K. The beauty is that people (Democrats, who can’t seem to do their taxes honestly anyway) can CHOOSE to use the complex, annoying, productivity killing current system.
Read around and see how many dodging obfuscating and dishonest arguments use against the optional flat tax. None of what they argue will even approach their real fear and objection. They can’t take as much of your money as is possible. They can’t deny you liberty in the form of a choice. Finally their lawyer leaders make BILLIONS in “tax law” and “tax advising”. Heaven forbid a lawyer get put out of work.
