MUT’s California Tea Parties, Flu News, and More
April 29, 2009 – 2:46 pmDear Friends: I will start today’s post by giving you the best example of an oxymoron: NORMAL CAT! I am sorry for not posting lately, but our pet cat Raja went on a walkabout for 2 weeks — coming back unrepentant and with a case of ringworm. Add this to family illness (not the new flu), and it makes for light blogging! Here are some news tidbits that I wanted to share, and hopefully I will be back up to speed next week:
* Tea Party Road Trip: I am hoping to hit the Pasadena Tea Party on May 1st (i.e., May Day, International Workers Day, high holiday for communists everywhere). According to the planners, they are going to have a lot of fun speakers and events — including dressing up as your favorite socialist!
* San Diego Tea Party III: Spanish Landing, May 16th (Saturday), 11 am — followed by a real protest march! For more details, click HERE!
* The reason I am still doing Tea Parties: Catch the money quote from House Speaker Pelosi that the 3.4 Trillion dollar budget is : “A statement of our national values”
*Speculation on whether the new flu strain from Mexico is actually weaponized, including information on samples lost from Fort Detrick’s infection disease laboratory.
* Bizzblog has a great synopsis and graphic related to the Gross Domestic Product decline under the Pelosi-Obama-Reid administration (POR economy): Real gross domestic product — the output of goods and services produced by labor and property located in the United States — decreased at an annual rate of 6.1 percent in the first quarter of 2009, (that is, from the fourth quarter to the first quarter), according to advance estimates released by the Bureau of Economic Analysis. In the fourth quarter, real GDP decreased 6.3 percent.
Jeopardy game of the day: Answer = Obama Takes Shots at Tea Parties.
Question = “Why is Obama Meeting with the National Tea Party Leadership?”.
