The Great Conservative Twitter Campaign of 2009, Part 1
March 31, 2009 – 10:56 amTwitter is a web site and service that lets users send short text messages (140 characters or less) from their cell phones to a group of friends or colleagues. It was launched in 2006.
As such, it’s the perfect distribution medium for short, punchy, pro-America, pro-freedom messages. I began composing some a few days ago. All of these posted are under the 140 character limit, including spaces.
Use these any way you want. Twitter your liberal friends. Twitter your conservative friends. Twitter your representative. Twitter reporters. Twitter your fellow activists before, during and after Tea Parties. Use them to organize spontaneous rally cries. Use the best ones in signs, stationery, and business cards. Write your own. Let’s use this new cell phone application to further the cause of freedom.
Post your favorites here at the American Freedom Network. Post them and the idea behind them at your other favorite blogs and web sites. Don’t be shy. I’ll continue writing them and posting them here:
The evil statist tour bus is coming by your house soon. Will you be ready?
No freedom. No peace.
Just say no to Democrats.
Statists are sending the following message to achievers, inventors, and hard workers: We hate you, we hate you, we hate you…
Do you believe one man can know what a million men know? Obama does.
I hope for Obama’s failure. I desire change in the direction we are traveling. Yes we can have freedom, if we fight for it.
Definition of self-hatred: A capitalist who donates campaign funds to Democrats.
When taxes and regulations strangle business, Democrats supply the rope to complete the job.
Do you like restrictions on executives’ pay? You’re next.
“Never waste a good crisis.” Obama certainly hasn’t. Hitler didn’t either.
Liberal Fascism: Love it. Live it. Grovel to your natural-born masters.
Hey foreigners: Do you love us now?
Do you really want America to become France? Think about it.
Definition of pacifism: Belief in one’s own moral superiority over those who do the gritty, necessary work that you disdain.
Why is it that Al Gore’s global warming conferences seem to attract snowstorms?
“Soak the rich” means “Drown the middle class.”
Obama doesn’t want to run the American auto industry. Not really. He wants to run it into the ground.
“Freedom is our holy word.” From a Star Trek episode.
“The general welfare” isn’t made up of welfare checks.
Pacifists: What part of “providing for the common defense” don’t you understand?
Etiquette for Democrats: A town hall meeting with the President of the United States is not the proper time to beg.
National borders are there for a reason.
The Constitution is a red light for government, not a green light.
Personal liberty and economic liberty: One and inseparable.

What is cool about twitter is keeping people who follow you oriented towards the things you see as important. Combined with Twine “thank you sally” there is now a quick easy way to share impactful news, activities and data along with your observations, moods or even the weather. Sally knows the tools to use!! Thanks!!!

Thanks, Nik.
I’ll post another list of Twitter messages in a day or two. Right now I’m working on an essay based on an article from a really old Policy Review issue on taxes.
