Obama’s VA Ripoff
March 16, 2009 – 6:13 pmPresident Obama wants to bill private insurance carriers for the VA’s costs when treating veterans with service-connected injuries. So, if you (or your son, brother, sister-in-law, your employee, etc.) get hurt serving your country, your insurance gets to foot the bill. Aside from the legal and moral obligation for this country to care for those who bear the burden of its’ defense, you can imagine that the $540,000,000 Obama wants to raise through the Hero Tax will result in vets losing their jobs, not being hired in the first place, and other forms of discrimination, as at least some employers and insurance companies will see to their bottom line first. (And why should they be singled out, anyway?) The American Legion is hopping mad, and the everyone else should be, too.
Combine this bit of treachery with the end of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” and you can almost count the days until enough soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen vote with their feet to make a draft necessary to maintain the nation’s defense. (That assumes that Obama cares about such trivialities…)

Collectivists don’t honor or value our service members beyond lip service. The only use they can see for them is imposing their own tyranny on their fellow countrymen.
Incompetence and socialism are a witches brew that threatens our children and theirs.
