February 7, 2009 – 12:22 pmDear MUT: I hear a tentative deal has been struck, and 2-3 Republican Senators have signed onto Porkulus. I have called and emailed until my voice is hoarse and my fingers raw. What more can I do?
I feel your pain! I have one last idea, and it is the last in my bag of tricks. The Republican National Committee is always calling me and asking for donations. I gave them plenty, especially when Governor Sarah Palin was the VP candidate. Now they can earn some of it back, by getting some of their members to actually act as Republicans. Here is some preliminary contact information. Personally, I threatened termination of my membership and no further donations if any GOP Senator votes for this — especially with no corporate tax rate cut and tax credits going only to those who don’t pay taxes.
