The O’Ignorant Factor
Tonight Bill O’Statist outdid himself with his media-hyping “outrage” about the price of gasoline. His ranting in his “Talking Points” demonstrates willful ignorance of economics and capitalism. If not his ignorance, worse, a considered use of the ignorance of some audience members to fan artificial outrage and waste people’s energy about the reality of energy policy and business.
O’bloviator castigated the “greed” of the oil companies and their executives while preening in his free thousand dollar suit. He whined about the profits of oil companies, failing to note that many other industries have far higher profit rates than the oil industry.
Why isn’t he ranting against the fact that government makes more from oil than the oil companies? If you listen to him very often his “no spin” is in a statist, sensationalistic and fascist direction.
Instead of buying his ingorance (or presented inaccuracies counting on ignorance of others), study some energy facts for yourself.
By the way, Microsoft, and many others, make a far higher percentage of profit than oil companies. Is it “greed” to profit?
