I almost never send out a mailing to my entire address book. When the groceries cost 40% more and the gas pump prices are almost $4.00 a gallon and rising, enough is enough. My family is here outside of Denver proper and getting killed by the taxes, gas prices, and even the grocery store. My wife even drives to Buckley AFB to go to the commissary to get our groceries due to the prices. Employers are not paying more as their answer to every corporate economic problem is to lay people off who have done nothing to deserve it.
Don’t know if I believe in alternate energy sources, but you have to have enough time and have the US economy survive long enough to get to research, development, and production of the energy source on a mass scale. It will also take time to get the drilling underway and it is already past time we did it (by years). I believe in conserving the natural environment (you can’t live anywhere in Colorado and not believe this), but also believe that we have the ability to use our natural resources wisely and not effect the environment to the degree the environmentalists claim.
I love and drive a collectors edition 2002 F-Body Firehawk (Performance modified Pontiac Formula Firebird) which only takes premium fuel (yes it is actually fuel efficient – at altitude with a turbo kit). The other vehicles are a Honda Pilot, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and my sons two turbo charged foreign cars. Thank God my work is less than 20 minutes away. I actually am thinking of buying a hybrid just so I can keep my real car! I wonder if I can turbo charge it???
Don’t just blindly sign this, do the homework and you will see that this answer is a good one, no matter which party you belong to. We have had enough. Consider signing this petition to congress about drilling for oil:
